Awesome.. pure awesome... I've seen elk like that running around the fields just outside liberty lake.. figured it was idaho bulls running from the wolves... :chuckle:

Shhhh! There's no fields by liberty lake! You must have been confused and actually been in cabelas. Thats where the only elk around spokane are... :chuckle:

Good luck getting much information about elk around Spokane. There are some out here, but you're going to have to do plenty of homework to find them and be successful.  Good luck.

Many years ago a few lost elk found their way up from the massive herds down in the Blues.  Some speculate these elk were met by a few of their brethren that were exploring from the West out of Ellensburg where kingdoms of elk litter the land.  These Spokolite Elk have struggled with survival in the Spokane habitat however there are a few stragglers left, for the most part they have receded back to the motherland of elk in the Blues where seeing elk daily is as common as seeing your neighbors in Liberty Lake.

There is a lot of elk around spokane its like any other area the bunch in my area that i hunt roam in a big area so you can't pattern them

They sure are skiddish in that neck of the woods too.  They cross the roads like the Devil is on their trail.  Not like Packwood where they graze on the right-of-ways   :chuckle:

I hunted Packwood a lot years ago. Skate Creek was my fav.......
