High Right Tear
« on: May 21, 2014, 07:44:48 PM »
Ya I know you haven't heard this one yet. I just need some insight on it cause I'm tired of racking my brain over and going to a pro shop is my last resort. Anyways PSE Stinger 3G at 60lbs, whisker, 2 string RAD peep, W.C. string, Beeman Bowhunter 400 arrows, and everything is in spec from what I can tell. Just keep getting high rights all day, try to adjust and sometimes better sometimes worse. Thanks for any help.

Without knowing your arrow specs, start with your grip position and/or anchor point. Very subtle changes in these can make a big difference on paper.

When you say high right, do you mean your shots hit high right, or that your arrow is not flying straight and producing a high right tear on paper?  Your thread title sounds like you are trying to paper tune?
These links might help?

You can test your peep location at home.  Close your eyes, draw, set anchor, nose on string then open eye.  Peep should be right where you need it, no more head movement to get behind it.  Aside from that maybe stop in a shop and have them check your peep as well as check arrow centerpoint and nockpoint.

Yeah, some clarification in what you mean would help a lot.  High right tear in paper? Or high right impacts/flyers?  If paper how far away are you from the paper?    Would also help to clarify right or left handed plus arrow length and draw length.  Happening every shot or random shots?

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
