I would be thrilled to get one like that first one with my bow. Thanks for the pictures.

What unit did you focus your attention on?

From afar I focussed on 061 & 062 with a little on 067.  Once I got down there I hunted 062 exclusively.

On my drive down to the Rubies last year I came down through this unit from Idaho, passing Wildhorse Res.   I was going nuts looking at the mountains west of hwy 225 south of Owyhee, which I believe is 62 specifically.  They looked absolutely perfect for spot and stalk mule deer.  Tons of high, but not too steep terrain with nice ranches at the base.  I have heard that ATV use is rampant, so escaping distractions might be a problem.
Wish I could earn a living hunting!

The atv use is my biggest concern as well... We will see how it ends up being.

That country screams big mule deer when you see it.

No luck drawing on deer, elk or sheep for me

I was going to apply for this area this year but drew the multi season elk tag here. So I decided not to. Hopefully next year. Good luck to you!

Well I went scouting this weekend and I wish I could say I was going to be elk hunting and not deer hunting. I have seen 16 bulls 6 of which were already well on there way into the 300's. I have only seen four forked horn bucks though. There is still some snow up here so I am hoping that I am just ahead of the deer. I'm heading to a new area this afternoon so hopefully I will locate some bucks.

I got a few pictures with my phone through the spotting scope. I will add them when I get home.
