Drew a Dayton muzzy bull tag!
« on: June 11, 2014, 01:55:39 PM »
Had to double check 4 or 5 times. Excited doesnt even describe how I feel right now. Probably the 1 and only time I will elk hunt the east side.

Now I gotta get healed up and in shape after having knee surgury a week ago!

I'm almost ashamed to say! ;) 7 points. And this is the first time I ever put in for an eastside tag. Drew the multi season elk tag this year and figured I had to put in for over there. My brother in law talked 2 guys into putting in for that particular tag and we both drew. 2 out of the 3 tags issued!

I gather we'll be hunting together. Small world, isn't it?

Just signed up for the site.  I am the third and final tag that was drawn for muzzleloader bull in the Dayton unit.  It only took me 14 points.  If you boys are interested in sharing scouting notes let me know.  I am all up for sharing info., contacts and tips to increase success, just let me know if you are interested.  I am planning a couple of scouting trips already.

Thanks everybody! Was a long night last night :chuckle: Fortunately my brother in law has spent a lot of time in that unit. He said he already knows where we are going to set up camp and some cameras!

If anybody has any helpful info for this tag that they want to share. I sure would appreciate any P.M.s that would be sent my way. Always willing to listen to good advice!

Yep. Never to soon to start begging. :chuckle:
This is a draw of a lifetime for me. I want to go into it as prepared as possible. I put off what everybody wants to do. Ask for help. Like 20 seconds after I saw I drew :chuckle:

Ordered my OnXmaps chip yesterday. Think I already have metzkers maps etc. Seems like Oct.1 is a long ways away. But it will be here fast. And I want to be prepared!
