Well have been off the pain meds since Sunday.  No crutches right now.  I get to watch some pretty cool hunting shows while laid up at home.

Wife said shouldn't you still be using the crutches.  I said nope feeling better and want to go hunting for the late archery season.  Hopefully next week I will get in the walking.

Just be careful of the swelling. I never used crutches.
Are you icing?
Don't bend the knee.
Wiggle the toes.
The trick is to walk. When climbing stairs, straight leg. No bending of the knee.
Once the swelling goes down, bend the knee. Don't rush it.
Once the swelling is gone, you are home free. Don't push the knee bend.
When the swelling goes down, you will have to practice walking normally. Your hip muscles will need to be retrained.
You will favor one side and the muscles in your hip will need to be retrained.

Hip, quad, and hamstring will all lose noticeable amounts of strength. I tore my MCL and went through that whole thing. You'll be back in no time!

Icing everyday all day.  Doing exercises they gave me.  Not really bending my knee that much.  Mostly for sitting on the throne.  Swelling is going down every day.  My calf is tight from not walking correctly and my quad near my knee is tight to.  Other then that preheating along.

I can't win this archery hunting season.  Fully recovered from knee surgery.  Went out opening day of late archery season.  Hiked about 3 miles.  No luck but great to be back in the woods.  My daughter and her husband and my grandkids came for thanksgiving.  Great to see them especially my grandson which I  hadn't met yet.  The kids both had colds though.  Guess who has been spending his whole week off to hunt at home.  Maybe I will get something done the last week of the season.

She is growing everyday.  I can't keep a toy around she just chews them up.

Get KONG toys, not the new ball or other ones, but the old pear shaped one, they are indestructible.  good for throw/retrieve training too.

Got some of those.  Got her an antler too.  She is grinding her front teeth down on hard toys.
