Hey guys trying to fill a tag or at least get into some elk...we eou MD gave probably filled a tag on the open weekend but we were dumb and stomped around a little to hard..with it being dry out it wasn't hard..everything snapped and we jumped 3 bulls and they were out to 100 yes in .5 seconds...so we are looking between mossy rock and issaquah...does anyone have any in site on these areas. I know there is elk in both but I also know the weather pushes them around a bit. Thanks guys and good luck in the late hunt

I've seen 2 bull elk in velvet in Issaquah last year ,friend seen 5 good size bulls of May valley rd.in the pasture 2 months ago .The problem is it is no shooting zone . Where I've seen the elk is OK to hunt ,it was just not the right time yet  :bash:
Everyone thinks that I'm freak ,I don't look different do I ?

Going to be tough to find a place since most of the available ground has been packaged and sold into individual units by WECO. Peterman Hill will be crowded as usual. Only other option would be private land ownership on on Burnt Ridge, but it's too late in the season to go begging for entrance. That leaves Randle.
Whatever........

I know the mossyrock unit very well.  Most of the Mossyrock unit has few to no elk in it.  The only area that does have a lot of elk in it was leased out to a hunting club this year.  Thank you Weyerhaeuser.
