I cut up a few goats harvested by friends from the area all I know is they said it was some of the best meat ever, the secret is as always keep it clean cool and dry

Use your Hoyt!!!!  They are often easy to get close to, but pack your 270 with you in case a bruiser billy appears.   My next goat will be with a bow.

That was/is actually my plan, it is a long season and my first choice would always be to take an animal with my bow :archery_smiley:

I am so jealous of all the oil tag holder's. No doubt you will get a goat, just enjoy every minute of it.  the whole thing is going to go by to fast. have fun

If Norse peak is in your unit, I have seen lots of goats and the walk isn't that bad.  Had a nice billy at around 40 yards of me.
