Fun outdoors
« on: January 20, 2009, 09:18:18 PM »
Took our new guy in the squadron out for some good clean all-American fun to squeeze off a few rounds.  Managed to take some photo's of a health looking muley buck, some turkey's, a couple coyote's, and my pup on his first outing into the wild since getting him.

Did you fling any lead in the direction of the fawn killer?

Nice pictures!

Not at those particular 2.  Private land.  We saw a pair on public land right when we parked to shoot.  I missed both but they were a long way away and looking right at me as I scramble get the rifle out of it's case and loaded.

That was the first thing that popped into my head too.   :chuckle:

The birds look like they are finding food.  What's your general assessment of the turkeys this winter - is there going to be much die off?

Nice pics BTW!

I've been seeing lots of birds.  Saw 3 more yesterday, 2 jake's and a decent tom.  I don't think the turkey's are affected nearly as much as deer.
