Beaver trapping ride along?
« on: January 23, 2016, 11:31:03 AM »
I have property (Roy/Eatonville area) where I can already foresee a future need for beaver control.  Would like to do a ride along with an experienced beaver trapper.  I want to get an idea of what all is involved with equipment and trap sets.   Willing to help flesh and stretch some hides and if interested, we can talk access.

I am NOT looking for a trapline, I am interested in the ability to control my own issue.

Best regards.

huntingfool7 came down today and we checked 3 beaver traps I have on a small creek. The first trap had a 20 pounder, the second trap had a 50 pounder and the last had a 35 pounder. We had great weather and he saw a variety of places to set beaver traps. The last trap we checked was for bobcats and it had a possum in it. I enjoyed visiting and sharing the excitement of the sport

Right on. Wish I could do something like that. I've got beaver traps set but I'm setting blind. Well with the help of youtube.

Thank you!  Great morning out on the line, met another great sportsman from H-W and learned some really good stuff.  I think I have a plan and some traps in my future!

That's great!  Being able to learn in person, as opposed to reading or watching videos, really helps! Always nice to have a mentor
