OK I installed my williams peep on my T/C BD and went to the range, shooting 90gr pyrodex and 350gr Maxi Hunters and had to elevate my peep ramp all the way to the top and still cannot hit closer then 6 inches low at 50 yds  :bash:

Suggestions ??

robodad - did you change your front sight?  I had to change mine for the peep sight.

You have to lower your front sight.  Either change it or file it down.

OK Yeah I didn't lower the front  just thought that the williams peep was set up for the stock sights, I'll look for a replacement front now since I don't want to destroy the one that is there now, Thanks for the information !!!!  :hello:

I have heard having to replace the front site is fairly typical after installing the Williams peep.

Well, crap. That was the information I was looking for when I started this thread. I thought the Williams would work with the original front site as well from the postings so I bought one as well. I have it mounted but have not had time to take it out, was planning to this weekend.

I will post my results as well as start to look for a new front site. Thanks for the info.

OK Amsdad, I just spoke with Diane at TC and she asked the gunsmith about this problem and he said that they don't make a replacement front sight for the BD BUT they do have one for another ML that works on the BD so she is sending it to me at no charge !!  :IBCOOL: I will let you guys know how it works when I receive it and get it installed !!!

Very cool. Let us know how it develops. Hopefully they will send something along with the sight to identify it so the rest of us can follow on this lead. Thanks Robodad.

Thanks to everyone who has posted replies on this thread. This is great information and very helpful. I went to the Williams site and tried to find the sight that would fit my Knight LK-93 Muzzleloader. I could not find that so I called Williams and the guy I spoke with said that the following model is what I need:

FP-LEGEND-TK     For Modern Muzzleloading Knight Legend, Wolverine, Disc, Bighorn, American, and T-Bolt. Fits factory drilling and tapping. (With Target Knobs)     $84.50

Since it's $85.00 I thought I would ask if anyone is familiar with this model and/or knows of another Williams sight that would fit my Knight LK-93?

Thanks

Dude. $85 is a lot to spend on a peep site. I only paid like 35 for the one I bought from cabela's. Here's a link to there sight. I don't know if it will work for you but. The nice thing about Cabela's. They will take it back.
