Mill Creek, WA Beaver Problem

Interesting story.  I can't figure out who 'owns' the land there.  Even if the City can't get a permit to remove the beaver, I wonder if a fur trapper (not getting paid for it) could legally trap the wetlands the beaver are in and solve the short-term problem.

I drive thru there often, but not in the last few weeks.  Most of that seems to be privately held, I think that particular parcel is either owned by a couple or by a LLC called "Narural Holdings".

I wouldn't presume to guess, could be a group like The Trust for Public Lands which saved the Peshastin Pinnacles and Spider Meadows in your very own county, among other places

I have done beaver work in that area when I had my Business.
That is private land.

The problem in that area are some beaver but, the real problem there is way to much home building going on.  Once they put all of those homes up there (and there not done building yet) all of the water drains into the creeks around there raising the water faster than a bullet  :chuckle: when it rains.
The beaver are not the real problem there................but they will pay the price.

They will find someone to get those beavers out of there and drain the area and make "Prime" real estate property to put more homes on.

the video showed a storm drain submerged. Why is it not working?  I blame that before the beavers  :chuckle:

Wow I got a email back from Millcreek. They said it would be ok to trap only if i would release them. I tald him I would have to charge fir trapping and my time then and they would have to get a permit from WDFW to release them. Crazy people I will see if the high up's will change there mind. Just waiting for a email with writen permission.
