I think that's mostly the it.  The big brass makers didn't make a run for a few years for it or chamber mass produced rifles in it.  Lots of guns that were previously wildcats but are now common.

the world of wildcat rounds is cool dont get me wrong,but if its a world someone is into why not design your own wildcat?name it.there is not a wildcat out there that doesnt have a mass produced round that matches it. so if its the wildcat that draws you in i say make your own then and only then would it be the best.................to you. lol  :twocents:

I was thinking 338/06 necked to .30 cal. Call it the 30/338/06
This one sounds like it would go together nicely.maybe even a .338/50 BMG.
