Lake Terrell over Christmas
« on: December 16, 2016, 09:05:23 PM »
Going to be up in Bellingham over Christmas at the inlaws.  Looking for a good place to run my 1 year old golden retriever to burn off some energy so he is a little more chilled out for the festivities.  I know it is closed for pheasant hunting.  Just looking for a good open area to run him off lead and of course he loves to work a field.  Maybe toss a few dummies for him.  I don't see anything in the regs that says I can not do that.

Anyone with knowledge that this would be a bad idea?  I have no desire to be "that guy" so trying to gather all info I can.  Thank you

It might be a factor if duck hunters are there and how close you are to them.

You should be fine if you run the fields by the archery range, I was running my Golden back there the other day and didnt see any duckhunters.......did kick up a big Rooster though.

Thanks for the info.  I was worried about the duck hunters as well.  I've only driven past the area before but looking on the map I thought there would be some room to get him away from the ducky looking areas.  Thanks again

Yep, I'd head over to the Intalco property instead of Terrell.  You can run for miles and not bother any duck hunters.
