Easton Full Metal Jackets, what Fletchings?
« on: February 13, 2009, 04:47:23 PM »
I'm looking at ordering some new arrows, I've decided I like the Easton FMJ's but I've been thinking about all the new fletchings that are out there. I'm thinking of Blazers. These are 100% for hunting. What do you think?

Chris

Blazer no doubt, but why the FMJ? do you want the extra weight?

The reason for the extra weight is because I like to shoot big deer, need the extra penetration ability, not looking for one of those wimpy little westside dog deer.  :chuckle: :chuckle: Just kidding, don't really have a reason beside I've heard nothing but good things about them, same with the Blazers.

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Good reasoning Chris!  You are on the right track - don't let Paul try and talk you into something else...   :yike: :chuckle:

I switched to the axis FMJ year before last when they first came out and they shot really well, the problem I had was whenever they struck anything hard they shattered, even if they went threw a target first. I was not impressed.
Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. You choose.
