Reveiws & fit for the kelvin lite hoody?
« on: January 07, 2017, 04:18:32 PM »
Anyone have one & have an opinion?
I can get a pretty good deal & my first lite puffy ripped.
Also, hows the sizing? I wear an xl in the ascent & not looking for anything baggy.

Thought about it. I can get a new with tags kelvin for  $100 though. Plus it is really light & packs well.

I love my kelvin lite. Mine is a xl. Large was just a bit tight. I think my Sitka baselayer sirts are large size

Is that what you usually wear in jackets?

Ya I think I'm typically a xl. I am 6 feet and 185 and it fits well but I can still layer under

See sizing is such a strange thing...  I haveonein a large and I am 6' 190 and it is just about a perfect fit with two layers of First Lite underneath.  I think nowadays garments don't always come out of the same factory.  The XL would be huge on me.  You can try mine on if you like if you are somewhat local.

Great garment by the way.

Arm and torso length is mostly what makes me pick xl. Also a bit of extra arm width.

Cool, thanks
Had a few guys telling me they ran small and I needed a 2xl.  Worried that would be way to big.

So you still happy you jumped the sitka ship?

I am 5'9", and 185lb the large is a perfect fit.  I wear a large in most sitka jackets.  The Kelvin light is one of my favorite pieces it is always in my pack if I am not wearing it.

I like my KUIU but there are Sitka pieces that I miss.  The KUIU super down is superior to the Kelvin.  I loved the traverse zip t's; miss those.  I also really liked the 90% pants and the timberlines.

Appreciate it. I haven't worn a large since the 8th grade though.
