Does anyone have any experience with this scope? If so what are your thoughts on it?

Wow. 34 ounces.

I imagine the optics are incredible.

$3700  :o I'll stick with Leupold and NightForce.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

36mm tube and 60mm objective... That thing is a rifle mountable spotting scope!

Look at the VX6 HD 7-42x56 about $1000 cheaper and great glass  ;)

$3700?? Get Schmidt and Bender PMII instead for cheaper. It'd beat Zeiss any day of the week and twice on Sunday. You can find better scopes for half of the price such as Primary Arms platinum series scopes, SWFA, Nightforce, and so forth.

I've got a victory in 6-24×56 and it is simply incredible optically. I have been able to compare it to most other alpha scopes and it simply rocks. It'll make most vortex, nightforce, meopta. .....etc feel lacking optically. My zeiss doesn't have the erector travel of the nf/sb/henzoldt etc, but the optics are amazing.

I can't imagine more power and objective will hurt a bit.

That Zeiss V8 is a sweet scope.  Zeiss and Swarovski glass are infinitely better than Leupold, Nightforce, etc..  Not even in the same ballpark differences.  I looked at the V8 very closely, but went Swarovski instead.  I own the lower end Zeiss scopes and it is phenomenal glass.
