Hoping you'll share how you trained your pup.  Thanks

Doing it my self, with help of books, videos, and meeting with a trainer once every 2 weeks for training and home work. I guess you can say he is training me and the dog.

this way i get the both of both worlds with out paring the high cost of droping off at a trainer.

Trained mine with the help of some books, and just encouraged his natural ability. Mines no where near a polished hunting dog but he gets the job done. My Dad helped some and he used to run dogs in field trials so that helped too.

Got 2 labs.  1 is 6 and the other is 6 months.  Never really done a whole lot with them except for playing fetch in the backyard with a weighted duck dummy and some duck scent from Sporstmans Wharehouse.  My 6 month old is awesome already, but I think that's because he was able to learn from my older lab.  It's always good to take a pup out with an experience hunting dog any chance you can.
