Is hunter orange required for spring bear? from what I read Id say No? its seems only when modern deer/elk is on you need? but Im not 100% sure...

No, but I carry it along Incase (when 😁) I kill one, then I put it on me or the bear!

No.  Orange is not required.
I wear it anyways.  I don't trust other hunters.


Don't wear black or it might turn red.  :o
Also, be on the lookout for people who might be wearing black and rustling around in the bushes in the middle of bear country during bear season.  :bash:

This. I ran into a guy a couple years ago who I was convinced was a bear for a long time. He was down in a cut a couple hundred yards below me on an old skid road. I was just waiting to get a clear look at the bear before I shot, and out he comes in a black fleece! I went down and told him he should reconsider his choice of clothing. He didn't have much to say other than it was how he gets close to bears to kill them with a bow.
