I'm not concerned with the terrain. I'm more concerned with not being prepared for that area. And I've never backpack hunted. And that's what I'm more interested in doing this year and on forth and eventually going on long backpack hunts (overnights) untill I get something when time permits. Is there anyone going out in the next few weeks? Maybe I can tag along on a spring hunt b4 it closes. I'll be a pack mule. Just to get some experience??Would really appreciate it,
This is old, and I've changed out some pieces since but it worked fine, clearly I didn't die and he had enough opportunities to miss multiple bears. Sorry, haven't posted anything new in awhile..https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,195635.0.html

This is what I think the forum should be about.Vmascorro89, You may be more familiar with the Wenaha than my reply on this post addresses, but its a primer on accessing the Wenaha: https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,215513.msg2869026.html#msg2869026 . For a first trip, assuming you still choose the Wenaha for your maiden voyage, I'd suggest using and staying near the Mt. Misery trail. Its about as flat as it gets, you see a lot of country from it, and there is water all along it.
A 7 year old girl beat me to my spot it the wenaha today - maybe the legs are starting to age? Heh.
