Definitely prefer a good bow quiver. If mounted correctly it will actually help the bow balance on the shot (followmthrough). And of course the arrows can be quiclky accessed and on the string with minimal movement.

I hunt with a side quiver 100% I can stand the weight on the bow or the wind having more surface to blow around. I have a back quiver for trad hunting but never got use to it.

100% hunt with quiver on the bow. Much more quiet then on the back where arrows can move around. If i was stump shooting I would use a back quiver so you can hold more arrows but hunting you only need 4-5 max.

I moved from a back quiver to this a while back.  Much nicer for those long crawls through the brush.

Started with a bow quiver, switched to a back quiver, then side quiver, going back to bow quiver...

For those of you who use bow quivers, how do you keep your arrows from getting pulled off by the brush? I've got at least $50 worth of arrows lying around on various hillsides...

Note the angle of my quiver on He riser. The hood is close to the mass of the riser and the arrows follow the angle of the lower limb. When going through brush, as the top limb goes through the thick stuff the arrows follow along nice as can be. Also make sure you have the right size grippers for the diameter arrow shaft.

Scotsman what quiver brand is yours? The one I use I don't think I can position it like yours but will look at it again to make sure.

My Bear quiver from the 60's has never lost an arrow even when I bushwack. so I never have that problem. :dunno:

It is a Delta quiver. Unfortunalely they are no longer in production but they pop upon the big auction site frequently. Bear bought the design from Delta and made them for a few years too. Rumor is that Bear will start making them again.

Here's my quiver......$25-$50 on ebay and you get a damn good one that is like new. I have one for my Grizzly and one for my older 60's bows that don't have a berger hole.

Yeah those Bear spring arm quivers are brilliant. I have one I use on a one piece recurve but it wont work on a takedown. the grippers were old and brittle so I made new grippers from cheap Wal Mart flip flop shoe material. Works great.
