Sherman unit

I may potentially have an opportunity to hunt private 20 acres near republic come rifle season. I’ve never hunted that way, from the info I have there are possibly several bears coming thru the property and some decent bucks. Still working out the details on the property and plan on heading over to scout it out in the near future. Just out of curiosity how is the overall deer population over that way. I looked at harvest numbers for 2017 and it seemed like a large amount overall taken. I guess if the property doesn’t produce like it may any other decent areas to look into while out there? I don’t wanna put all my eggs in one basket and be stuck over there with no other options. As of now planning on being over there for atleast a week. Thanks for any insight!

Muleys or whitetail? For muleys on focus on the areas that burned. Lots of good public land deer up there
