1 or 2 wheeled trailer for bicycle?
« on: July 22, 2018, 09:18:42 AM »
This fall's bear hunt will start with a 8 mile bike ride on a gated road. The road is not bad, but there is tall grass growing between the ruts. Which trailer would work best?

I have a 2 wheel kid hauler. I use when hunting logging roads behind gates. Works great neve had an issue with the tall grass or weeds. I think 2 wheel trailers are more stable. If been happy with mine.

Good luck 399. Those bears must be new residents, cause we didn't see any this spring.

Ya, I know they've been there this whole time. Hopefully I'll be back next spring with my own tag.

2 wheeled carts are more stable and carry heavier weight

:yeah: I have never hailed a bear in a cart but the 2 wheeler I have used have been loaded down with more than what those bears likely weigh whole. If boned and skinned easily handle the weight. Grass or light brush is not a problem other than a drag hassle. But ruts can be. If the road is rutted deeply or unable to straddle then u may have an issue over 8 miles and solo wheel may be better. But for anything else go with a 2 wheeler imo.

Here’s a couple decent blacktails in carts a long ways from the truck . Mines in the Grundy nomad cart it can haul some weight

Nice bucks! Here is a couple elk.....

The first cart did good, but the bigger one that says safety first has been a monster.

Looks like I jumped the gun. Before I received any responses I bought a B.O.B trailer. Now I find out it doesn't fit my 29er. I paid 3x what I could have bought a kid cart for, plus I had to buy an extended spline another $30.  :bash:

Following behind you, I was waiting for the wheels to pop off.  Still think you should send the photo to the manufacturer and show them what their cart was used for.   :chuckle:
