Where to sight in a rifle in the Tri Cities?
« on: September 19, 2018, 08:36:00 AM »
The range hours here are short and mid-day not allowing for a blue collar to go shoot on the weekdays, and the shooting area up Webber Canyon is closed for fire hazard. Does anybody know where a guy could sight in a rifle out to 100 yds here in the Tri-Cities area mid-week?

I was told by a fish and wildlife area manager that the shooting ban has been lifted, at least for my area.  I would assume that's state wide
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Take a look at some of the public ground around Juniper Dunes.
Also opportunity near Locust Grove.

For some reason, shooting honey holes are like hunting honey holes around these parts...

Thanks to all, I am looking to get my rifle dialed this evening if possible. I bumped my scope over the weekend and need it again this weekend. I promise to clean up and leave it better than when I arrived if someone has a spot they are willing to share!

I just got off the phone with the BLM contact and verified the shooting ban has been lifted as of 09/15/2018. Thanks again everyone!

Welcome!

Ooops, missed this earlier. Sounds like you're aware of Rattlesnake, but just in case...
The rattlesnake range is usually good, but you always have to check the hours. Wednesday, Friday and weekends, 9am to 3pm are typical.

With the paper targets, you can shoot out to a maximum distance of 100 yards.  There are five steel gong fixed targets which are at 200 yards to 450 yards at 50 yard intervals.

If you want info on where we go on BLM nearby, you're welcome to PM me, but I won't post it here.
