Elk in the offseason

Very cool. The other day there must have been at least 500 head at the Cowiche feeding station in the morning. Then, around noon I get the glass for another look and they are all gone. However, I kept glassing and then noticed they were all bedded down about a 1000 yards from where they drop the hay.

Ya this time of year I am doing some computer scouting for Montana deer. Just in case that I get drawn
