Here's Wenberg COUNTY Park

Here is the full text:

Quote
In consultation with other Snohomish County leaders, Executive Dave Somers today announced the restriction of public access to select county facilities, primarily those in the Administration Buildings on the county campus, starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.These county facilities will be closed to the public until further notice, with limited exceptions.

Unless there is a new press release I don't see how any county boat launches are impacted.

Of all the hardships mankind has faced in history, I think spending off days on the couch instead of fishing for a few weeks ranks pretty low.

Very true. Now tell that to the hundreds of people packing out every Costco, those lining up for the weed store, hitting the liquor store, bombing through the door at the convenience store for smokes, or engaging in other "safe" state sanctioned activities.

I would suggest you start Googling their individual websites cause you will see things like this from the Lake Washington Mercer Island launch:
And apparently you did not see where I said "It's up to each city or county to close their lands. Some are, some aren't."

Nowhere in the Governor's order did he direct local parks or gathering areas to be closed. It is up to each land managing agency to determine to stay open or close.

In fact here is the Governor's order:
https://www.governor.wa.gov/sites/default/files/proclamations/20-25%20Coronovirus%20Stay%20Safe-Stay%20Healthy%20%28tmp%29%20%28002%29.pdf
:yeah:

but it'll cascade across state, county (as shown above) and maybe even federal access points.
There's been a couple National Parks closing due to high visitation, including Mount Rainier. The Secretary of the Interior has given his regional directors the authority to close areas across the country. Some wildlife refuges have closed to public use, but for the most of the country they are open outside of visitor centers, offices, etc. Same goes for the Forest Service, expect to remain open.

No doubt its insane that liquor and weed have been deemed essential.

sorry for the length but for some reason there is no u-tube video of his speech that i can find.  :dunno:

Point is i think the people at wdfw need to re watch the video,Inslee clearly said for the mental aspect people need to be able to get out of the house and go on walks with their family mainly he said people on trails and such need to keep their distances at least 6 feet apart.

This wont do anything,i guarantee house parties everywhere in this country right now.  :twocents:

THAT SAID WE ALL NEED TO THINK ABOUT THE WILD LIFE THAT WE ALL LOVE,CAN THE WILD LIFE CATCH THIS?

Why the complexity?

Either the public owns it or not, whoever controls it, WDFW, City State, corp of engineers,BLM, national forest sevice....Jesus, its our land!

Why do we have to play this agency bullcrap?
Not how it works. Should your city tax dollars go to pay for a boat launch in Maine? Should your county tax dollars go to fund a park in Florida?

Spoken like a true government employee who relishes being in a special club of people who know all the stupid assanine details ,tricks and pitfalls and acronyms.

KEEP.....IT .....SIMPLE!!!!! Why the complexity?

I dont know where I'm supposed to display a discover pass most of the time and it pisses me off that I should spend ANY TIME AT ALL trying to figure that out. Im there to fish or hunt, not worship one public agency or the other.

Its my land!!!

WDFW and State Parks consulted with Inslee's office.

If anyone thinks WDFW did this on their own free will, their wrong. This was forced on them.

Looks like the County parks are closed and gated/locked. I asume the boat launches are behind the gates.

No surprise booze and weed stores are considered "essential."  Big tax revenue.
And besides, if you want to keep people sitting at home and complacent, booze them up and get them high.

 :yeah:
Wouldn't surprise me one bit.  One more reason to not send them money this year, let Inslee fund the department if he wants to make all the calls.

It's simple, if there's a sign you need the pass. No sign = no pass. If your pulling up to a fee station then obviously you're not at a state launch.

On some of the websites you have to actually SEEK the frigging info, on others it's dead center but it's looking pretty dang universal.
