Started Monday.  You can read the day by day synopsis in the link. The National is the most prestigious trial in the bird dog world, occurring every year since 1896, and at Ames Plantation since 1915.  It’s a 3 hour (if the dogs finish the 3 hours) grueling trial in some of the worst conditions and mud you can imagine.  To win it takes a hell of a bird dog and athlete!
