Scope Mount for Ruger M77 Boat paddle .300
« on: March 29, 2021, 01:20:49 PM »
Trying to mount a new scope, and need some new rings.  The gun has a small half circle depression on either side where the rings mount.  I am a scope mount novice, so I have no idea what mounts to get for it.  Its for a 34mm tube.  Thanks for the help!

not a lot of help on that site for a 34mm ring unless you have a rail, unfortunately.

My apologies.  I clicked too quickly.  They do have the rigns that mount directly to the Ruger factory cut receivers (at least for 1" and 30mm), but perhaps nothing that might fit 34 mm tube.  I don't know how big of an ask that might be, and you might end up having to go with a separate base and rings.

Luepold. I bet they do, and no chintzy rail either.

I don't, know man.

This sounds like a standard 10/22 type of receiver dovetail, which is a bit different than the cuts intended for Ruger high power rifle scope rings direct to receiver method of mounting.

Midway has this Leatherwood base, but it looks less than inspiring.

Awesome thank you, tough to find them in stock, but I was able to.  It's for my dad, he loves that gun and we finally convinced him to upgrade his scope.  Appreciate all the help!

Good call.  Just poking around there, and I came up with this.

Not saying these are what OP wants.  Just go to the Leupold site and enter your info for your rifle.  I picked a Leupold VX6HD 4-24 scope from their drop down, because it had a 34mm tube.

I see you already found it.  Awesome rifles.

Glad to have been of some help. I really admired my Rugers and the machined in bases.

When it comes to rifle optics and attachment,  I don't think there's none finer. If Luepold doesn't make it, I wouldn't want it.
