New Western Washington Trapper
« on: June 09, 2021, 02:21:48 PM »
As the world's worst hunter and fisherman (not giving up); I have decided to try and learn how to trap. All of my trapping experience revolves around trapping in the 90s with my dad in North Dakota. So my knowledge is limited. I enjoy the outdoors and want to find another way o enjoy them for myself, with my kids and with like minded people. I would love to trap a bobcat or red fox this year but that might be a little much for my first season. I am contemplating starting with beaver and raccoon to build some experience with the equipment and techniques. I imagine the trapping community is small but Is there anyone on here that traps in the western side of Washington? It would be great to meet some folks that have knowledge of the area and quarry. Any advice helps and goes a long way to preserving the traditions I hope to become a part of.

We would love to see you at the Summer Rendezvous August 13, 14, 15 @ The Chelan County Fairgrounds.
Lots of demos and we plan on doing a special demo section for new trappers. Might be right up your alley. I'll be posting an agenda on here later.
