Can someone explain what is happening? Did the department not actually sell the tags but created a reservation list or wtf?

They were available online, with some site glitches.

Just got the call back from WDFW, there is about 700 tags left and they have about 500 emails and phone calls to return.

Happy Monday!

They are definitely not very transparent on how this process works. I think it was about 3:30 on 8/18 they claimed they were sold out. Then we hear some are still able to get a tag. Not sure if it was people that had one in their cart but were later booted out of the system or if you somehow emailed them attempting to purchase or some other way to get on their list. Very confusing & wonder if it was truly first come first serve as they stated in their original email announcing the sale.  :dunno:

I had e-mailed them last Wed. knowing that I was at the dealer at 10:00.  System went down.  Waited around until 11:00 when the system was still showing no signs of working.  Called Olympia 10 times throughout the day with no luck.  Sent my e-mail to them.  I received an e-mail back last night at 4:00 stating that I was eligible for a MS deer tag.  I contacted them this morning and was able to get one purchased.

We just received a call from Olympia and my cousin was able to buy the MS deer tag over the phone. He had ticket # 201725. The lady said that there is less than 500 tags left.
