Didn’t build it
« on: May 08, 2023, 05:19:29 PM »
Deciding on Building one or just buying one. Then I just said the hell with it I’ll buy this one. Giving it it’s initial burn off now they say an hour at 400. I’m gonna go a couple three maybe.
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

Had to look it up, watched a cool video on it. WOW 98lbs of pellets and the PID controller is a nice feature. One thing it did note the ash clean out tends to warp on the burn in. Do you sift your pellets to get the chips and dust out?

Yeah heard it warps once. During burn off. After that flatten then no worries. So they say :dunno: No sifting for me. I’ll watch for dust then hand scoop. Which I’ll been lucky, lately.

Just wish I could justify getting one. Just don't smoke in big batches, it's just the wife and me. So, it's one rack of ribs, half a chicken, sausage or during the holidays I'll do a hole turkey breast.

What in the heck happened? That ash pan must have been really stuck when it warped on the burn in.

Tried to move it by myself, and the handle broke and fell on my foot and put a hole in the top of it.

Oh no! I almost got the Brunswick instead of the Pro Series II. The Brunswick has more accurate temp settings available whereas mine is in 25 or 50 degree increments. The double doors seem nice too. Hopefully it's all in working order and the foot isn't too bad!

I'm confused.
Why in house?

I can't be the only one that zoomed in on that first picture to try and figure out what kind of meat it was only to realize it was a foot. Lol. Better have a few beers!

Shortcut to the back yard. And believe me, I got more than a couple beers in my future let alone Bulleit Bourbon.😉🥃🇺🇸 still at the hospital waiting for results🤪🤪🤪
