I saw that once along the Columbia river. Watched a coyote skulkin about in the brush. Went Down to see what he was interested in, and found the beaver pinned under the tree.
Two years ago, a friend showed me a picture of a cow moose that was pinned and killed by a fallen tree. That tree landed dead center down the length of the moose.
