Best arrow set up

Hey guys I was wondering what arrow I should run for elk this year?  I have a 70lb draw weight and I have a 29.5in draw. I was thinking of issuing a 300- 350 spine with a 125grain broad head. Open for suggestions for sure let me know y’all.

Heard good things about Black eagle rampage's or if you want to spend some coin Victory TKO rip's. I'm not a fan of the half in half out inserts. Seems like guy's are always saying after time they don't spin straight. I switched from carbon express to Easton 6.5 300 match grade and love them and about half the price of TKO's .Every arrow in my dozen weighed +-1 grain and they are made in USA.  Fly like darts out of my V3X at 70lbs 28.5 DL. I put 40 extra grains up front and a 100 grain shuttle t. Getting 285 fps with a total weight around 450 for 79lbs of kenetic energy. Enough to punch a mud hole in any anaimal around here  IF YOU HIT THEM IN THE RITE PLACE !!   With your #'s i'm thinking with the Easton's at least you'd prob want a 250 spine and with a 125 BH you'd be right at your wanted weight . Give courtney at lucky shot a call or call jason at riverside ask him about easton arrows and there new weave process.

Easton Axis arrows are IMO the best bang for your buck. Their HIT insert system is hard to beat. You can put an extra 50 or 75 grains up front if you want to go heavy and more FOC. Or just stick with what comes standard. They always spin true. Plus as far as I know Easton axis carbon arrows are made in the USA. Black Eagle, Victory and Gold Tips are not.

Yeah I was looking into the Easton Axis I just wasn’t sure what spine to run I’m about to get my bow tuned and I wanted a good set of arrows to paper  tune and hunt with. What I’m looking for is what was mentioned above with the two holes I need enough to punch  through and still be able to shoot at 60 yards if needed

I like the two holes approach as well. Do you use any inserts or just run them as standard ?

Ive shot 410-430 for decades and had 0 issues at 65lb draw going thru animals. Shot a moose twice at 65 yards with clean pass throughs. Todays bows with a quality arrow and good sharp head there isnt anything you cant kill in the states

300 Spine. Weight of components up front will definitely push you into that spine and you can get away with a lot more component wise and pretty much pick a total arrow weight/foc you want without much worry or issue unless you got a super high IBO speed bow.

This is also assuming you're cutting your arrows down to middle of the riser and not leaving a bunch out front. If you're going longer arrow, that might put you at 250 spine like mentioned above.

I'm at a 32" draw length and cut all mine around 30.75, without an overdraw.

I'd recommend a 5mm shaft size. Easier for components and little more forgiving tuning wise. Micro diameter needs a little more work and either have to go deep six or everything is outsert.

Hard to find a bad arrow these days from the major companies. Easton Axis is a great arrow.

I use 150hr head, 25gr insert and 25gr collar. All ironwill. 
Black eagle rampage or rip tko shafts
 This setup has worked great for me the past 5 or so years

I'm 65 # and 29 inch draw , three years ago I went with the Easton Axis 5mm arrows in 340 spine and tipped it with a G5 Stryker V2  125
gr broadhead . Added a little weight but not to crazy and have had great results. Doesn't break the bank , fly like darts and hit harder than my old lighter setup for sure. At 70 pounds seems like ur at 300 spine or stiffer with 125 gr head but didn't look at any charts. Good luck and have a great season.

I shot the bull in my Avatar in 2020 hard quartering away 30 yard shot , entered left side about last rib and was stuck into the right front leg bone after full pass through long ways . Bull went down in 1 minute never leaving my sight. Only other kill was mule deer buck at 20 yards and blew right through. Happy with all with my arrow and broadhead setup.

Sweet dude , I figured for deer hunting it’d pass right through I was just worried about the elk not getting enough. But that’s awesome brother.

If you want to plug some numbers in for different arrow configurations archers advantage is a great tool to use to figure out the best spine for length of arrows and components you are considering. It costs around 15 dollars for a subscription, well worth the money IMO.
