Birdshot detection
metlhead:
Never worried about it. Seem to seldom find a pellet aftet cooking.
Threewolves:
I've been using my Garrett pin pointer for a couple of years for searching for shot, but still, look, and feel. Found six pellets the other day, and only one today. I bought it to use with my metal detector, but searching for shot after grouse and pheasant hunting this time of year. Just to make sure.
Stein:
I only find a couple a year after cooking, but those couple aren't good as I get a bit overconfident since it's so rare. The detectors are only $99 for some of them so it may be a cool thing to have, even for some big game meat around the shot area if the bullet comes apart.
McCRIZZLEY:
Anybody try one of the cheaper amazon ones? I've been eyeballing this one on sale.
2MANY:
I always breast fillet my birds and chase any hole I see looking for feathers and shot.
