Very cool horns!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

This is an ole school buck he was taken in 1950 on bunker hill in cowlitz  county. he still has some Gene pool running around up there . They have some freakish big blacktail bucks with Non typical horns running around up there.

I had a kid at one of the outdoor shows try and score it. But he really had a hell of a time if ya look. it has some crazy curves and nothing against the kid but he couldn't come up with a score. They were a huge hit with all the people we passed . they would stop and ask the story behind them. Buddies I work with think I should take them to the sportsmans show and have them scored. Id like to get them mounted see just what this amazing deer looked like .Not to mention look good in our living room.

Defiantly take your buddies advise ... get them scored and then get it mounted, if you know where they came from the cool thing would be to make a point of hunting that area yourself to get the cape. If you think about it when you are admiring it in your den you can wonder if somehow the big boys genes are in that cape!

Ya I don't know allot about mounts but I was told it would be tough to get a cape to match up with the horns. If not the right size it will look odd and fake. maybe someone out there knows?

You would definately want an older bucks cape.  most older bucks that get shot get mounted.

I may be able to come up with a big blacktail cape that would work for that buck but it will cost ya . Thats going to take a big old buck cape to look natural and they go for big money. I have a supplier in oregon that may have one . That buck needs mounted! Big mass!
