"the mission" = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for multi-billion dollar companies
That's a pretty big leap. First, do you know what the "mission" is, because the article didn't comment on that? Next, do you understand that wildlife refuges have been investigated as being breeding grounds for disease like chronic wasting, TAHD, and bird flu because of the concentration of refuge populations? And lastly how do you know that the plan is to sell the land off to multi-$B corporations? This is an article by public radio, not exactly an unbiased source, especially since they lost their federal funding. I'm not saying you're wrong. I am saying we need to know more about the mission and the government's plans for any refuge that doesn't align with that mission...and why.
