Muzzleloader Supplies
« on: March 09, 2026, 01:17:55 PM »
I'm looking for recommendations for traditional muzzleloader supplies. I've mostly shopped at Sportsman's or Amazon. I'm looking for better quality options.

Thanks,

I didnt pay attention to "traditional" muzzy supplies but Skagit Arms had almost everything I could think to want for my "new age" muzzy when I was there last week.

If you're the in person shopper Muzzleloader Supply on River Road in Puyallup will have most of what you wanna see I would think... I was just in there not to long ago... Sure looked like a bunch of antique stuff hanging on his shelves... Rounds balls, patches, powder horn, all that... Could call him and ask...

The best in the North is Greens Gun Shop  in Oak Harbor well worth the drive. Not only do they have everything muzzle loader ,everyone working there can talk black powder traditional with you.
Take your muzzle loader with you they have a range too. Buy and shoot it out the back door.

Check days open before you go.

I'll second Muzzleloader Supply for traditional smoke pole gear.

Haven't seen anybody else with Bore Butter in years... Thought my dad was the only person who had some left... Be worth the $60 and drive to Sequim just for that!  :chuckle:

I will assume by traditional you mean flintlocks and percussion guns?  Your best resource is going to be the Track of the Wolf website.  Another is October Country which has a store in Couer d'Alene.  They have everything a guys needs for shooting on the traditional side.  Noone really carries a decent supply of non-inline stuff around here.  The Puyallup shop is probably your best bet.

Send me a pm if I can help.  I have really been enjoying the older stuff the last few years.  Will be using a flintlock fowler on Turkeys this year!

I'll definitely take a look at Track of the Wolf and October Country. My tradional weapon of choice at this time is a 70s era T/C Hawken. I'm checking out the Muzzleloading show in Enumclaw this weekend.
