Canned tuna is the BOMB!! I like to can about 100 lbs every year. mid -late August is the best time. I'm hoping it's cheaper this year due to lower fule prices. I ca npost a number for the best quality in Westport.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

I signed up for Deep Sea Charters last year out of Westport, WA.  I was looking forward to the trip.  The week prior they were nailing the fish good.  I was heading out 8/18-8/20. The day before the trip, I got a call from the charter service to let me know that they were cancelling the trip due to expected 40-60 mile an hour winds.  I was way bummed out.  They were averaging about 26 fish per guy.  I never got a chance to get out again due to schedule constraints and had to collect my $500 and change.   :'(

We booked a boat through Westport Charters last year. It was in mid August and the warm water was only 30 miles out. It was supposed to be a 2 day trip but the weather brought us in at the end of the first day. 10 guys and 137 fish. We also caught 9 humbolt squid that where 3-4 feet long. We booked it again this year but requested a different boat. I would highly reccomend the trip to anyone. Its a blast as long as you dont get sea sick.
Freindship is like peeing on yourself. Everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling it brings.
