Have not hunted this area in about 6 years and have never hunted the Ahtanum area. When I did hunt this area we hunted between Weddle and McDaniel canyon on the north end. Does anyone have any starting points to look in this area. Do not have a cow tag so I will be hunting spike only. The last two years I have huntet the Umtanum area with cow tags and did real good. Our group has taken 3 cows in the last two years. But no tags this year. So we will be doing the Cowiche this year. Let me know if you have seen our camp over the years the name of it is CAMP SIDELOCK. Thanks BUBBA

I'd stay away from Cowiche. THere's way too many people in there. I'd go into the Bumbing, Bethel, Nile areas. Far less people and just as many elk.
