poaching is poaching. regardless of the specifics. and for the few of you telling me to go about it a different way, say i used the term "warning" i have this for you... http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,34067.0.html . the person who posted this used "warning to all goats" and everyone knows that goats don't live in areas with enternet access, duh. unless a venturesome goat makes a foray into a wifi area I'm sure that warning doesn't apply to anyone on this site either. so again i say, I'm not here to please everyone and i didn't fight in Iraq so i could come back and tip toe my way around an on-line forum hopeing not to hurt anyones feeling, especially a forum that discusses topics the people so obviously feel passionate about.

who did you call, let it fly?  I know one of the game officers in the local area is hot to catch anyone on the green anytime.  Drop me a pm, and I'll give you her cellphone number.  Call her and tell her exactly where your at and what's happening, and I beleive she will hightail it over to you.

When you call 911, tell them you need WSP dispatch because you have a fishing violation in progress.  WDFW is dispatched by WSP.  Give them your cell number, if you have one, so they can contact you right away and let you know if they are on their way and want you to wait.

Also,  you should probably try to be as NON-Confrontational as possible while filming the violations.  I realize a big strong Iraqi war vet like you isn't afraid of anyone or anything, but there is no sense in getting into a scuffle or something and ending up in jail over these type of violations...no matter how mad you are over it.

If you could film them without them realizing what you are doing, and contact the WDFW without letting the violators know your calling the gamies, the WDFW would probably have a better chance of catching the violators in the act.

Another thing, film all the license plates before you walk down to the river, that way if anyone runs and leaves in their car before the gamies can get them, you will at least still have a plate number that they can run and check against valid fishing licenses.

I know most of the gamies have an email address that you can send the video and pictures too.  I just did this a couple of weeks ago with some yahoos I caught driving in non-motorized vehicle area.  Sent the pics and video to one of the gamies, and he wrote 4 trespass citations from the video.  With face shots of the drivers, and good film of the plates as the vehicles are coming up the road...it was hard to deny it was them.

Also, I only live a couple of minutes from the Hwy 18 bridges over the green river, so give me a call sometime and maybe we could get down there together...one of us could stay up by the cars and film, and the other could go down and film along the river.  Then we get them in the act down at the river, and get them in the act up at their cars hiding the fish or whatever...

You were missing them today down at Issac Evans Park... the snaggers were out in full force. I informed a couple of guys that keeping snagged fish was against the law... but I can't speak Russian, so I think it was over their heads.

If we bitch about indians snagging why would we not bitch about anyone else snagging? What is the difference if a guy shoots a trophy elk out of season or poaches 4 deer? :dunno: Should we turn a blind eye to that as well. :dunno: I DON'T THINK SO. If you turn him in are you still considered  a "snitch". If so then that is your opinion.  Big game, fish, birds or small game...it doesn't matter a poacher is a poacher. We sportsmen must stick together as a group. Fishermen, bowhunters, muzzy or rifle...together we have a stronger voice. I myself will turn in any poacher or acts of poaching I see.  If that makes me a "snitch" .....so be it ...I'm guilty. This just my opinion.   And what was up with that comment about "YOUR beloved indian morons"? Shoudn't that be " OUR beloved indian morons" or do you live in a different state? Again...just my opinion.

A poacher is a poacher.
