I need birds for my launcher....
« on: October 14, 2009, 02:53:41 PM »
I am in Spokane, and I m looking for birds to fill my new launcher with. Quail or Chukar preferably, but will use doves and pigeons too if I have to.

Only problem is that I do not know where I can find some at a decent price. Looking to get about 2-3 dozen during the next 5-6 weeks. i havent started shooting over the pup yet, so the cheaper the better, since they won't even be dinner!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Call Allen @ Squaw Canyon Shooters, he's in Rosalia. He has pheasant/chukar/quail, tell him Rich sent you.

You can post a want ad on this site: http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/index.php

Or look in the "Other Poultry" section and you may find what you're looking for. I should have extra pigeons next spring/summer. I've just gotten into raising homing pigeons and they multiply like weeds!

I had a launcher I bought at Cabela's  and the commotion it made when it was opening was way too distracting for my dog. I think I prefer the old dizzying trick myself.    :twocents:

Send "Birdguy" a PM.  He has birds or knows where to get them for sure.
