HOLY crap...
not what i was expecting to happen.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

now that was awesome.

I wonder what the heck that felt like though??  I bet that deer is looking all over for some deer caine to numb his throbbing head.

what if he nailed one in the head, and didn't have a tag? or out of season? .....BANG.... Oh $hit what now!!

That would of been all good if it was on a high fence ranch, but what about public land?

What would you guys do in that situation.

get some guys to pin them down and saw off an antler? :dunno:

It's Texas, it's probably legal.  A lot of them seem to be high fence hunts anyways, so they probably can do what they want.
Cut em!

That's a great shot, and maybe the most humane way of helping the stuck deer out. It sure beats finding them tangled in the brush a few days later.

When I first watched it, for a moment I thought he had killed one of them!  That was an awesome shot to knock the antler off...

If that's not true sportsmanship, then I don't know what is.  If he was hunting, he could have killed one of them, but I agree with the guy, "they don't deserve to die like that".

Yeah, I remember this, too.

I was all kinds of pissed when the guy first shot because I thought he'd killed one of the deer...glad I watched it all the way through, though.

When the guy hollers "GOOD SHOT" I about puked.  :chuckle: Then I figured out what he shot. I figured he just killed one of the deer. If they were in season I probably would have killed one. they're gonna die anyways.  :dunno: Flame on if you want but thats probably what I would have done.
