what if he nailed one in the head, and didn't have a tag? or out of season? .....BANG.... Oh $hit what now!!
That would of been all good if it was on a high fence ranch, but what about public land?
What would you guys do in that situation.
get some guys to pin them down and saw off an antler?

It's Texas, it's probably legal. A lot of them seem to be high fence hunts anyways, so they probably can do what they want.

That's a great shot, and maybe the most humane way of helping the stuck deer out. It sure beats finding them tangled in the brush a few days later.

When I first watched it, for a moment I thought he had killed one of them! That was an awesome shot to knock the antler off...

If that's not true sportsmanship, then I don't know what is. If he was hunting, he could have killed one of them, but I agree with the guy, "they don't deserve to die like that".

Yeah, I remember this, too.
I was all kinds of pissed when the guy first shot because I thought he'd killed one of the deer...glad I watched it all the way through, though.

When the guy hollers "GOOD SHOT" I about puked.
Then I figured out what he shot. I figured he just killed one of the deer. If they were in season I probably would have killed one. they're gonna die anyways.
Flame on if you want but thats probably what I would have done.
