Suburban Blacktails
« on: January 03, 2008, 11:26:39 PM »
I was browsing through some of my pics on my computer and found a few nice blacktail buck pics I thought I would share. The quality isn't the best (cheap digital camera and lousy photographer) but some nice bucks. All of these bucks are in a private community with no hunting allowed. I'm sure a few of you will know where I took these. This first one was just bedded in someones yard.

Here's a huge buck hot on the trail of a doe during the rut. I had a hard time keeping up with him and not going on to other peoples yards.

Saw this buck thrashing the heck out of this brush/tree that had been cut down.

And then cut tried to cut him off on the upper road as he followed a doe between some more houses.

Where these bucks live is surrounded by timber company property and some state land here and there. I know some of these bucks get hunted at some point when they leave the area. Most of these pics are during the rut with the bucks chasing does. I built houses in this area for years and mostly only saw the big bucks during the rut.
