Need Remmy Trigger Advice
« on: January 30, 2010, 08:03:54 AM »
With all the Remington discussion lately, reminds me I need to get busy and figure out what to do with one of my old rifles.

I have a great old Remington 721 in .270. It has killed probably 30 deer and 5 or 6 elk to date. I am keeping this gun.

The gun still has the safety issue where the bolt will not open until placed into fire. I am safe, it has not been an issue with me. I don't put the finger in the trigger area until something needs to die, I don't laser anything with my muzzle that shouldn't.

Here is the question; I would like to upgrade the entire trigger assembly and the safety at once.

What make upgrade would you experts recommend?

my 721 30-06 needs safety work bad. It will not stay in safe position very well at all. I need to find someone to work on it myself. Update this when you figure something out.

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

:)I know all I had to buy was the trigger it went on with two pins, two out on the stock trigger two in for the new one, it was even adjusted pretty close.
Carl.     Now that I think about it the stock safety worked!! I am sure
