Elk sheds....little help?
« on: March 10, 2010, 07:31:30 PM »
OK, I'm going to throw this out there. I have never looked for elk sheds before but want to try. Another member has offered to let me tag along when they go out (thank you to that member) but we have not been able to hook up for a hike yet. I start a new job on wed. of next week and do not know if I will have the time to go after I start my new job. I would like to get out monday for a day hike. Can anyone point me in a direction? Any info would be greatly appreciated. You can PM me if you don't want the whole world to know. The only area I am familiar with on the east side is out of e-burg up towards Tamarak springs or buck meadows. Like I say I have never looked for elk sheds only whitetail sheds. I am not sure where to look but not afraid of putting some miles on my boots. Thanks if you can help.     BREW
Just one more day

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

still packing in central/eastern Oregon too.  We always wait until mid-April for elk at the earliest.  GREED isn't good for the elk...
