catfishing?

anyone know of a place like around an hour or so drive from Yakima where i could catch some decent size cats? Or of a guide service that i could go on or something, It's been a long time since i've caught any and i think its about time to re-live some of those memories.

there is a catfish rendevous 1st weekend in june of huntwa folk at Lyons Ferry.Im not sure how far from you that is

lyon's ferry would be about an hour and a half to two from yakivegas but yes some nice cats available

The mouth of the Yak has great catfishing.


 :yeah:

Walla walla river, snake river, lyons ferry are all some great catfishing spots. Moses lake and potholes have some dandies also.

I'm definitely not a catfish expert but it seems that the mouths of all of those rivers into the Big C seem to be relative hotspots for whiskerfish in this state.

There's a guide, last name of Mayo, who specializes in catfish. He is down around the Tri-Cities area I think. Anyone know his name and whereabouts to help sirfunkeybut.

we use to do it a lot when my uncle would come up. most river mouths are good for some fat cats.

i tried a little down at the vernita(spelling?) bridge a couple years back, did no good at all. but i was thinking of hitting it up again, i hear that people do good down there?
