The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
Tell you what, I'll switch down from my good quality gear to the same stuff that most people use and then I'll just think it's a bite when I have a fish flossed....Seriously, go piss up a rope.

Good quality gear? Let me guess,an Eagle Claw with an upside down spinning reel, some Danielson line and a 8' leader. Thats standard salmon snagger gear.
Anyone know the answer to my question? How do you know, if you can't see, if you're really "flossing" your fish or if they attack/bite/take your... lets say offering? Is cork and yarn flossing? If not, why would they go after cork and yarn, but not yarn? Or something else? If it is flossing then why is it so widely used and accepted? Actually I see snaggers using cork too, am sure they try to floss when they can. What makes one flossing and one not and how do you really know the difference when they're both hooked in the mouth?
Thanks for the explanation, really didn't know and wasn't trying to argue.
