Congrats on your first bull.....

here is a picture of my bull. i took it on my cell phone. not the biggest bull. but a good one for my first. i sneeked up on him from a 100 yds. looked twice to make sure he had 3 points. when i saw he was a legal bull. i let him have it with my 300 ultra mag. dropped him with one shot. he was between two trees. had to wait for him to turn and then i gave him a cow elk chirp and he turned broad side and i took the shot. he was down but i put one more in his neck and that was it. i saw his rear behind two trees when we were headed back the other way thru the timber as i have seen alot of elk in this area. when i saw him by his self i waited as i thought he may be a bull so i waited for him to move and i was right. boy i had the shakes for a bit but i took a deep breath and i told my son he is a legal bull and was going to take him. sorry about the picture my digital camera is dying.

Great job on your 1st elk! Spotted it, made a plan, stalked it, reasured what you were shooting at, made a great shot and filled your freezer! Cant go any better than that for your 1st elk! Thanks for sharing!
