Wow, huge blacktail!  Congrats, and thanks for your service too!  Like cooneyes said, better stop hunting blacktails, cause if you try and beat that, it'll be a LONG time before you even see a deer that big.  Switch to muleys or whitetails next year, do that for a few years, then come back to blackies when you're ready again!  I blew it on a huge blackie last year, didn't get the shot, and I'm haunted now.....

Congrats on a nice looking blacktail. It won't score that high or make the record book but one you surely wouldn't want to pass up when hunting.

I'm very confused by your choice of adjectives. If its your first BT deer, then wouldn't a small spike be the biggest also? Or should you say "my first BIG blacktail"?
