Blue Bird hunt on New Years Day
« on: January 04, 2011, 08:53:48 AM »
While it was not a barn burner of a day, my son Dominic and I managed to scratch out 6 birds off the sound. We had planned an eastside hunt but the chilly conditions and traffic after a holiday, told us to stay home. Dom a little upset about being denied and talked me into hitting it locally..... after dodging a lot of drunks on the road early Sat AM we scratched out a few birds. Mallards (pair), canvasback, pintail, widgeon, and GWT.

Good job.  The ducks are getting harder and harder to come by this late in the season.
