270WSM handload info

Just curious as to your load recipes and what muzzle velocities you are seeing.  I don't have the gun yet but am already looking for ideas on loading.  I was thinking 140grain Accubonds.  Which powders do you find to work the best?

The load that I worked up to, which is close to max, is as follows.

Fed. Mag primer, 63.5gr of RL 17, 140gr. accubond, chronoed at 3330fps.

That is out of a model 700, it shoots better than I ever could of dreamed.
Remember it is close to max so work to it.

Thanks for the input, and yea i was planning on working my way up, what brass are you using?  Any pressure signs?

I'm using winchester brass for the time being. As for pressure signs, nothing to drastic, maybe a little swelling. :chuckle:
